New regulations for hotels in Friuli Venezia GiuliaJun 12

The minimum requisites for hotels in Friuli Venezia Giulia have changed as a result of a regional resolution that seeks to increase the quality of accommodations structures in the territory. The new rules include an increase to 15 and 16 square metres per room for 4- and 5-star hotels respectively; even bathrooms will have to be larger. Other measures will regard Internet connections, safes, minibars, uniforms and languages spoken by the staff. The new regulations will be immediately active for new hotels or hotels being renovated, whereas for others the deadline for the adjustment is set for December 31, 2010.
