The new Convention Centre in Rimini will be operative starting in mid-JuneFeb 08

Rimini is preparing to open the new Convention Centre, which will create room for another 4,000 people in a total of 42 rooms for the meeting industry in the city. "In April they will deliver the Convention Centre, and in June we will be able to open it", stated Stefania Agostini, Director of the Convention Bureau of the Rimini Coast. "Its main characteristics will be flexibility and versatility". After a series of conventions, the most important of which is the national meeting of the CGIL, the structure will be ready to host the 2010 BTC, being planned for the first two days in July. The Convention Centre is based on the territorial criteria inspired by the convention district: "The winning mix is the container", stated Agostini "the convention centre and hotel accommodations are the underlying pillars". As far as regards promotion abroad, European markets are the objective, especially England and Belgium as well as France and Germany.
