Grado revitalises offer with new thermal bath centreJul 08

The municipality of Grado has made R&D hospitality responsible for the promotion of the finance project for the new thermal bath and congress centre in the territory. The development of the attractive ability of the destination and the deseasonalisation of its incoming system are, in fact, the goals of the agreement signed by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Grado to revitalise the local thermal bath system. The value of the intervention, for which Italian and international operators are being sought, is approximately 100 million euros, 22 million of which will be covered by a regional contribution. The Municipality of Grado will grant a permit, lasting up to a maximum of 50 years, for an area of approximately 100,000 square metres overlooking a section of beach that is approximately 1 kilometre long, to create an integrated complex. A new thermal bath station will be created as well as a 5-star hotel with 160 rooms, a parking lot with room for 1,000 vehicles and a congress centre seating 1,0000, for an estimated 50% increase in incoming and 10% increase in sales or the service sector.
